The Marysville Rotary Club Board of Directors has authorized $7,385 in direct grants to local non-profit organizations, schools, and efforts to support and remember veterans during the 2021-22 Rotary Year to date. The list includes participation in District 5180's Rotaryopoly (think Monopoly) game, a fundraiser for polio plus.
Here is a list, provided by Club Treasurer Larry Michel, of this year's community donations, which does not include the approximately $2,500 the club spent on the Virginia School Christmas party or the approximately $3,500 on the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy (RYLA) camp.
The most recent approvals were for $1,000 for Dusty's Pantry, which supports students at Yuba College who lack funds for food, and $1,000 to support the Yuba College Symphony Orchestra.
This list does not include $2,000 designated by the Board for this year's International Project, which went to help Rotary Clubs in and bordering Ukraine to assist in sheltering and feeding war refugees.
