Rotary Club of Marysville offers at least $8,000 in college scholarships
The Rotary Club of Marysville announced today that the club is now accepting applications for two distinct scholarship opportunities.
The first is up to six $1,000 scholarships for graduating seniors at high schools in Marysville who will be attending any public university, private college, community college or vocational technical school.
The second scholarship opportunity is one $2,000 award for a Yuba College student transferring to a four-year college or university.
Interested students can apply to either of these scholarship opportunities by mailing the application to: Rotary Club of Marysville, PO Box 630, Marysville, CA, 95901. The application deadline is April 1.

High School Seniors:
The first scholarship is for graduating seniors at high schools in Marysville who will be attending any public university, private college, community college or vocational technical school.
Marysville Rotary will provide up to six $1,000 awards in this category. Two of the six scholarships will be set aside for students attending Yuba College.
The following selection criteria will be used: 1) attend a two- or four-year college or vocational technical school, 2) have a minimum GPA of 3.0, 3) be pursuing either an academic or vocational goal, 4) provide evidence of service above self in either community or school clubs or organizations. Need is not a criterion.
Applications for that scholarship are available through the scholarship coordinators at the schools or via by clicking here to download the graduating senior application.
Yuba College Transfer Students:
The second scholarship opportunity is one $2,000 award for a Yuba College student transferring to a four-year college or university.
For that award, the following selection criteria will be used: 1) be currently attending Yuba College, 2) have a minimum GPA of 3.0, 3) be pursuing either academic or vocational goals, 4) provide evidence of service above self in either community or school clubs or organizations. Need is not a criterion.
